The Hunters Point Parks Conservancy is proud to partner with the Woodside-Sunnyside Runners, Run LIC, and the LIC Post to put on the annual LIC Waterfront 5K.

This event takes runners and walkers through the streets and waterfront parks of Long Island City and is an extremely popular family-friendly event that draws casual and competitive runners alike. After the conclusion of the 5K, the festivities also include the Center Boulevard Children’s Dashes for kids 2-9.

We’ve seen huge growth in the race over the years, with almost 1,800 runners and walkers at our 2024 race, plus more family and friends in attendance to cheer on the participants. All proceeds from the event go to HPPC and are put back into our parks or used for our free community events!

Our 10th LIC Waterfront 5k will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 9 am.
